Reading in 2012

I just added the blog 'So Many Reads' to my sidebar after reading Stefanie's post on her 2012 Reading Plans. I like the idea of keeping a list throughout the year of books read, and jotting notes of my thoughts of on the books. (I have a dreadful memory, and would never be able to remember all the books I've read within a 12-month period.) So I think I'll keep this list for 2012 on this blog.

As for some Reading Goals:

• Something by Charles Dickens (I read Great Expectations two winters ago and LOVED it (after thinking for three decades that I disliked Dickens), so want to read another)


• More Bronte work (ADORE Pride and Prejudice)


• Giller Prize winners/nominees (every fall when the Giller list is announced and I hear reviews on the radio about the novels, I really want to read them - then entirely forget about them when I get to the library. I've read two in the past two months - one so-so; the other enjoyable)

That's just a few for now; I have more books I'm interested in reading. But in the interest of not taking time away from my family by blogging, especially on New Year's Day...I will leave it at that for now!
