Last Sunday was gloriously sunny, after a number of grey days. I had cabin fever, so went out for a nature walk...with mixed results.
Saying hi to the cows. (They did not respond.)
Walking on the frozen swamp, checking out sedges and a bird's nest...
...woven amongst the willow. Seeing things I usually don't get to see, because...they're in the swamp.
Still on the frozen swamp, checking out the young deer tracks.
Cool! A beaver lodge! (This is where it gets dicey. A tip: Don't get close to the beaver's lodge...especially when the temperature has been erratic. This translates to - the ice may not be consistently solid everywhere!)
