We spent Friday afternoon in downtown Ottawa, exploring the locks right at the beginning of the Rideau Canal system. Exploring beneath the Plaza Bridge, looking up at the stunning Chateau Laurier (a Fairmont hotel), watching the water spill down the eight locks...just a stunning area, and a lovely hidden surprise for someone who knows the Ottawa area well.
