Babies

I am behind in my bird update...but here are the baby robins, hatched from their beautiful robin's-egg blue eggs...(This was taken a few weeks ago).

The birds have since grown bigger and stronger and have left the nest, and are hopping around the yard. Their speckled chests show their young age (I am looking at one right now in the yard; it is plucking at my pink hardy geranium flowers with its beak). Mom still sticks around and makes sure her children are safe :)
